multinational corporation (MNC)

 
     
  A firm with the power to coordinate and control operations in several countries, even if it does not own those operations (Dicken, 1998). This is a more restricted term than TNC, which refers merely to operations in more than one country (see also transnational corporation; transnationalism). (RL)
